There was something about her
i needed to know more about.
Something intriguing.
Like I felt a need to be there
if she ever felt weak, or needed someone.
There was really no explanation
as to why I felt this way,
besides knowing the universe acts in strange ways.
We were both human
and that is about as much as we had in common.
I felt a deep love and attraction
to the person she showed me glimpses of,
but she never showed me too much for too long.
People come and go and I always knew
she was more likely to go than stay.
But the feeling, the time,
and for whatever reason
the universe decided to bring us together.
That time was meant to be.
